Thelma and Louise here! We’re back to blogging after taking a brief break. Rhino Encounters have returned for 2016, and we’ve already had quite a few people reserve their encounters already! Not that anyone can really be surprised by our popularity. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to spend some quality time with two fabulous rhino ladies?
We were recently visited by the wonderful Heather Fields, who later sent us a very thoughtful email thanking us for the experience. Here’s an excerpt from her message:
“I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for today’s rhino encounter. I still feel like I’m floating on a cloud. Thelma and Louise are so special and having the opportunity to be near them, watch them eat, and actually interact with them was beyond-words amazing. What a wonderful way to raise public awareness about the plight of these beautiful creatures in the wild. I can’t imagine anyone meeting these lovely rhino ladies and not coming away wanting to do everything in their power to protect this magnificent species.”
Thank you for taking the time to meet us Heather! While we love the attention we receive during encounters, our main goal is to educate people on why rhino conservation is so important, so we were thrilled to see your message.
